Located in the beautiful Namibia in the North-Western town of Outjo is the Tabita centre.
We strive to empower, inspire, build relationships and uplift the community for lasting change, growth and create hope.
The centre, established in 2016, has become a vibrant hub for the community, hosting 4 pre-schools, 5 children's clubs, women's groups, a needlework group, and a fun gymnastics development group. TB medication is also distributed from the centre.
Wilma Schoeman co-ordinates all projects and Magret oversees the day to day activities. Outjo community members help to present classes and give messages and training. This centre truly is a GROUP effort by the Outjo family.

Educating young children in the informal settlement of Outjo
The centre currently have 4 pre-schools. We are so thankful. How can a child go to school who has never been taught to properly listen, eat, sit... Foundational, utterly important and often neglected disciplines are taught to approximately 60 preschoolers at the centre. What a blessing it is to contribute to the well-being of youth, guiding them off the streets and into a nurturing environment. Each pre-school class is filled with children who gets a special opportunity to learn and grow.
Children's clubs
Each week after school, a group of children gathers at the centre to receive uplifting messages and nourishing food for their hearts, souls, and bodies. Our aim is to foster meaningful, long term connections with the kids who have joined the club. It often happens that children join the club long term until they finish or leve school and get jobs. What a great opportunity and blessing to work with kids, shape their minds and hearts.
Tuberculosis medication distribution
TB treatments can significantly alter and enhance lives. The centre partners with the Red Cross to deliver these vital medications to individuals who require them. in Outjo.
Woman empowerment groups
The Outjo woman gather regularly for a special gathering filled with a fun creative activity and encouragement. We aim to equip woman of Outjo to generate their own income home and use what they have to make a difference.

Developmental Gymnastic classes
Coach Eliana Mostert generously offers her time to foster both development and enjoyment for the kids. Once again the centre can host activities for the children, off the streets and in an safe environment. We are so thankful to have this time of stretching, jumping, giggling and fun for the children.
